Introduction

LINE Commerce Connect ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information when you use our Shopify app.

Information We Collect

This app accesses and stores the following data to provide LINE integration features:

• LINE channel configuration (Channel ID, Channel Secret, Channel Access Token) for API communication with LINE
• LINE user data (LINE User ID, display name, profile picture URL) received via LINE Messaging API webhooks
• Customer email addresses voluntarily provided by LINE users for Shopify account linking
• LINE Login data (LINE profile, email address) obtained through OAuth 2.0 authorization when customers use the LINE Login integration to link their Shopify account with their LINE account
• Order and fulfillment information (order number, amounts, product titles, tracking numbers, shipping carrier) for purchase confirmation and shipment notification messages
• Loyalty points data (point balances, transaction history, redemption records)
• Message delivery logs (message type, content summary, delivery status)
• Shopify store session data (required for Shopify app authentication)

How We Use Information

Collected data is used to: send LINE messages (welcome, order confirmation, shipment notifications, point notifications, campaign broadcasts, 1:1 chat replies), manage loyalty points, generate discount coupons from redeemed points, link LINE users to Shopify customers via LINE Login OAuth, and provide analytics dashboards. LINE channel credentials (Messaging API and LINE Login) are stored securely on the server and are never exposed to client-side code. We do not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties beyond LINE Corporation (for message delivery and authentication) and Shopify (for discount code creation and order data access).

Data Retention

Data is retained while the app is installed. LINE friend data, point history, and message logs are stored in a cloud database (Turso) that persists independently of app deployments. When you uninstall the app, all associated data is automatically deleted.

LINE Login Integration

When customers use the LINE Login feature on the storefront, we request the following permissions via LINE's OAuth 2.0 flow: profile (display name, profile picture), openid, and email. This data is used solely to link the customer's Shopify account with their LINE account. Customers must explicitly authorize access through LINE's consent screen. We do not access LINE friends lists, chat history, or any other LINE data beyond what is listed above.

GDPR Compliance

We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable data protection regulations. The app implements Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks for customer data requests, customer data erasure, and shop data erasure. Store owners can delete individual LINE friend records and adjust point balances directly from the admin panel. If you wish to access, modify, or delete any data, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
